Willy Pete
Two hunters met on a field of snow at the end of the world. The first was master of scents, armed with teeth and claws. The second was master of fire, armed with bow and arrow. The scent-master lifted his dark head, yellow eyes meeting the cool blue of the fire-master. Each had the ache of hunger in his belly, an ache that could be sated with the flesh of the other. The hunters stood as if frozen with the landscape, eyes locked as they sized each other up. To slay the other would take talent and guile, the scent-master's teeth were sharp but so was the fire-master's arrow. Both of these tools could end the other with ease, but who would strike that fatal blow first? The answer to that question, only mother nature knew. After a moment, a silent understanding passed between the two hunters and each turned back towards that place which he called home. Perhaps that ache in their belly could wait another day... Catlover
How is this so underrated!? One of the best things I have seen on this forum, not even lying. It made me smile, especially noticing that the hunter was in fact a wolf. I wish I had as much luck as you. Wolves love to eat me
