suggestion Can decompose animal hide ?

I think it's great to add animal hide for leather, it can transform in cured leather in 3 days.

1 deer hide = 4 leather 1h 15 to decompose

1 rabbit pelt = 1 leather 30 min to decompose

1 wolf pelt = 3 leather 1h to decompose

1 moose hide = 5 leather 1h 45 to decompose

1 bear fur = 6 leather 2h 15 to decompose

I disagree, to be frank. This would make it way too easy to keep the "civilized" leather clothes, mostly boots, repaired. Most people would just use their excessive rabbit pelts to keep the rare boots like Mukluks maintained easily.

I think the idea could be doable if the entire system of leatherworking, skinning and skin preparation was re-worked. Which I hope for in the future - but that is probably years away from getting done.

Just read a wiki about cured leather. Compared to drying (curing)  hides, the process sounds, if not complex, certainly requiring compounds and time to do. Not going to throw a fresh deer hide on the floor, wait a long enough time (beyond that for it to cure) and be able to pickup cured leather.
