Desdolation point + Aurora = fail

There is no light in the light house. It could be nice if you could turn it and light up a big part of the map

Edit: also be able to use magnifying lense to make fire

It's been widely discussed before and everyone agrees it was fueled by whale oil. DP was a whaling harbour and there's no visible power cable reaching the lighthouse.

There is a computer in the lighthouse so it has electricity. Anyway if its fueled by whaleoil lets let us fuel it by lampoil

The amount of power for a computer and some lightbulbs can't be compared to that required for the beacon. A small cable running under the bridges would be enough. On the other hand "harvest 100 liters of fish oil and light up Desolation Point so Cherno Alpha will know your position" may be a good idea for a challenge.

That may be true, but how are you going to generate the power for that for any amount of time? All electronics are fried, so how would you go about building a functioning generator from mechanical parts?

That would literally require to fish and fry around three thousand fish. That's like the most grindy challenge ever
