  1. Thanks so much for the post Raphael, and everything you do for us dedicated players. Super stoked for the next part of TTFT aswell as your next title. Patentially, as possible, awaiting any and all news regarding these.
  2. Italian reload... Faster to drop one weapon and grab another than waste time reloading
  3. Today my son was playing with an empty tin/can that once held chocolate wafer sticks. I had just got home from work and heard a can clink onto a metal surface... And thought of placing a can on a wood stove in TLD. Turns out he just made the tin clink as he put the lid on.
  4. Congrats... Still working on getting to 500 myself. Almost made 200 over the christmas break, but died to a faulty controller when it didnt register the trigger pull as I desperately tried to shoot a charging wolf.
  5. A whiskey decanter and glass set with the TLD Logo etched into the glassware. Whiskey rocks with the feats badges etched into them.
  6. My biggest wish with the thermos is that it would retain heat better. I think that you should be able to fill with hot drinks at dawn and they would remain hot until say mid afternoon. So 8ish hours. As it is you fill with hot coffee, and also drink a hit coffee, then set off. When the warming buff wears off I can get another hot coffee. However, by the time that warming buff wears off the remaining drinks are cold. Whats the point of loading 8 hot drinks only to be able to drink one, maybe 2 before the rest are cold?????
  7. I play Stalker almost exclusively, and spent most of my Christmas Vacation playing a fresh run. After 10 IRL days I lost the run to a faulty controller when it didnt register the trigger pull as I desperately tried to shoot a charging wolf. Ibwas nearly froze to death already so it didnt take much effort from the wolf. I was seriously angry as, at 192 days, it was my longest run to date. The very next IRL day I went and bought a new controller (one the children will never get thier sticky little mits on) and started another fresh run... Just passed 95 days in it. There have been times that after loosing a good run I quit playing for several months... Initially because I need a break, but inevitably real life happens and then I just dont get around to playing for some time.
  8. Havent noticed extra rifles... But my wife found 2 sport bows. The first she found in the Island Cottage in FA. The second she found in the mine of ZoC.
  9. Yes my first one I found in PV, either somewhere in Thompson's Crossing or the Farmhouse. And just lastnight I found one in BI somewhere in the cannery.
  10. Ok so I hear that alot of you are swimming in respirator canisters. I found roughly a dozen, and aftet completing the tale I'm left with 2. But I have a sneeking suspicion that I missed level 2 of the mine, and I would like to return to explore it. I found several in the foremans office, another small handful in a shipping container room somewhere in the mine. Are there any other places y'all have found more than just 1 or 2 canisters? Also, does amyone have a decent map of the mine tunnels???
  11. Ok, thank you. That makes sense. Guess I have just never encoutered it before.
  12. So I started a stalker run this past weekend in TWM. Yesterday after the 2.26 patch dropped I was finally able to go on a bear hunt. I jad stuck an arrow into a bear from hiding and tracked him until he quit running scared. I then proceeded to get him to follow me. My plan was to lead him close to the Mountaineers Hut (my base of operations in TWM) so he would hopefully die near it. As he came with his sensorys range of the hut and completely lost interest in following me. Instead he made a bee-line for the hut, walked up the front path, stole one of the 3 raw fish from the previous day's fishing trip, and ran away scared to die during the night. The fish were laying on the ground a few feet down the front path from the hut. The fish had been caught and left there the day before I hunted my bear. So is wildlife stealing meat and fish stored outside finally a thing? If so... I LOVE IT. If there is anyone that can confirm that they have experienced similar events? Or maybe do some testing??? (Looking at you @hozz1235)
  13. I would say a temperature drop while you were aleeping is what got you... And perfectly realistic. IRL I heat my home with a wood burning stove, very similar to the one in Trappers Homestead. I keep the main room with the stove in my house around 75° to 85° F during the winter. I have forgotten to stoke the fire a few times before going to bed in the past... And woke up the next morning to inside temperatures in the 10° to 25° F range and completely frozen pipes... Thats in a modern very well insulated house. If one was to go to sleep with temperatures just above freezing it wouldnt be very difficult for temos to drop WELL below 0° F through the night... Especially in a cave, old cabin, or summer camping shack.
  14. Cats can get down from trees just fine... It's only that people think they can't, and seem to think they need to help the "poor kitty." You leave a cat up a tree alone and it will come down just fine when it wants to... Usually after dark.
  15. The only suggestion inbthis thread that I might actually agree with would be cross country skis and/or Snow shoes... With a heavy preference to snow shoes personally.
  16. I'm goimg to guess when they get a stable hotfix that doesnt introduce yet more bugs... In my opinion, id rather wait for a better patch than keep getting more bugs to replace thise that a patch fixes.
  17. Wish you could knock them over with an arrow or bullet... Would be some fun target practice.
  18. They will run off... Once you have them in your bright light you have to charge them, keeping your light on them. After a second or 2 at petting distance they run away. Only way I made it through signal void.
  19. Hockey sticks and pucks... Would be great fun to try highsticking pucks into the resident wolves on Mystery Lake.
  20. Ive noticed that wolves ALWAYS soumd like they are right on my heels... Even when they are following from quite some distance behind me.
  21. They were only generated when the game put something in them
  22. Lost and found boxes are a mechanic that was used some years ago when HL was redoing some of the maps. When an item tha the player had interacted with needed to be moved due to a change made to a map (a house was redecorated, or changed by HL) those items were placed into a special box automatically by the game when the changes took place. This was done on all platforms I believe, so players wouldnt lose stuff on thier longer play throughs just because the game was updated. I never used this mechanic as I wasnt playing very heavily at that time.
  23. On console I use the radial ALOT amd findbit very easy to use... But with all the new items being added as of late (can you say bedrolls and cooking utensils???) it could use an update. Also I would eliminate the drop decoy frombthe radial so as to open up another menu slot for items.
  24. Lol, told ya. I'm in the process of establishing an outpost in Ash Canyon to map and look for more.
