NardoLoopa
Is there a way to tell if you are "inside" or "outside" in places like a Cave, to know if the fire you place is going to get the Outdoor fire bonus? Do you just look for the temperature drop?
stratvox
I've found that as you're walking towards the back of the cave you'll have a spot where you'll suddenly start walking more slowly; that's the transition point to "inside" from "outside". The grey/black stone floor will change to a slate-blue color, (blue is "outside" for the purpose of your fire bonus). The other test that you may like to use is to drop your hide and/or gut on the floor, then hover the mouse over the hide and if it is labeled as just "fresh wolf hide" then you are "outside"...if you hover the mouse and it displays the "1% cured number", then the game qualifies that area of floor as "inside", (even when it is a little chilly). Hope this "test" helps.
