When did the markings from carcass harvesting disappear?

I've noticed that when I slaughter an animal the blood smear on the ground around the carcass no longer appears. Is this unique to my install, or was this something that happened in a recent update?

I can confirm this - there's no blood stains from butchering carcasses for me. I am certain that the ones left behind during struggles are still present, though.

Funny thing about blood smears which happen to be placed indoors. Here, I was roughened up by a wolf once right at the Farmstead doorstep. This blood stain has remained literally for weeks... The porch is considered as inside place in game logic, so it's most likely here to stay...

I have to say I personally miss it. It adds a lot to the immersion of it all.

Actually, I have a question for you... what's your platform? I'm linux intel i7 nvidia gtx1060. I'm wondering if it's platform specific.

Doesn't look like it - mine is a quite outdated AMD hardware running Windows 7 64bit, TLD runs under DirectX11...

I'm wondering why it went away. Was it inadvertent or did they get some pushback from one of their distribution channels?
