There are many of us that have been stuck on the disclaimer screen just for the base game for YEARS. Have a google about if interested, there's plenty of threads on here too. No fixes though really. Hinterland tend to lock or ignore the issue.

But it's fixed. You're imagining it. I'm imagining it too. This is because there are multiple threads of people saying they're hard locked on the disclaimer screen but always one helpful aspiring young sausage from steam claiming "it works for him, sorry to hear it doesn't work for you have you tried verifying the game files" well gee thanks bro, none of us 3 years had thought of that.

Can't wait to start the pre-episode 1 content. For any oldies/veterans that may have forgotten that's the main menu screen. Currently locked behind the bugged disclaimer screen. I've explored the whole area it's such fun.

The majority of people in this thread cannot play the game. We are all imagining it though, it works really because 1 other guy "works fine for me". Sigh. Breaking news: Still can't get past disclaimer.... What a joke.

There will always be one apologist for absolutely anything. It's quite cringeworthy really as it has indeed been years and affects lots of people, there is literally no conclusive fix.

I don't even get why they can't just remove the disclaimer screen. At this point it's 2023.... People know the game isn't real life and people know epilepsy exists and a miniscule fraction of those with it can be triggered by screens/media.... Literally it's unnecessary covering of the gluteus maximus to be honest. Just put a few lines of text on the store page for the game, job/obligation done/fulfilled.

Well update. Just got home, fresh removal and reinstall. Offline browsing disabled and..... Still stuck on the disclaimer screen. Seems I'm screwed. Literally everything has now been tried.

I had completely forgotten Epic could even do offline mode..... It's not like on steam it's buried actually in the settings and there's absolute zero noticeable difference or interface functionality differences when it's ticked or unticked. 'Offline Browsing Enabled' is currently ticked (and now been unticked).... This has given me hope! Although..... I know this has been off in the past as I found it a long long time ago and as far as I remember I have never reinstalled or removed Epic to cause it to change. I've got excited now but can't get into game since the last attempt to remove 'melonloader' for that blasted skip intro mod fix, I thought I had removed it with a system restore but can't launch the game now as it says I need to get bits of it back.... I don't want any of it back! Lol sigh. Going to be wondering about this offline thing all day at work now... I hope you're right.

First off no I'm not jumping on steam. We lost partner bad memories nope not going to say it again. I'm on Epic. Now then. I'm stuck on disclaimer screen. I'm not going to describe what this is all about as from my googling it seems the community is very aware of this and it has been ongoing for a LONG time with no real fix. I've tried every fix suggested that I can find online going back 2+ years. The only thing that seems to have provided some people with any luck is the 'skip intro' mod on Nexus but it seems it's been out of date for a while now and doesn't work with the current game. Anyone know of any secret arcane knowledge to actually get into the game?
