    Falconry

There's actually a channel on Youtube called 'Falconry and me'. It's a lady and her raven/crow and they are so smart. They really do bring you gifts too. Very interesting.
  2. In response to Hozz, I don't think 1 or maybe even 2 more options would hurt, but I also think that there are ways to balance that out if it is OP. For example, I'm not sure if the new insomnia affliction is working as intended. Right now, it barely even affects you so I'm wondering if they are going to change it in the future. So, what if insomnia was added as a regular affliction in the game and every time you consumed an item that restores energy, the risk of insomnia increases. Plus, instead of just randomly waking you up in the middle of the night, what if it actually keeps you from sleeping. This would also give Hinterland an opportunity to do something cooler with the glimmer fog.
  3. I just went to the airfield for the first time and I agree. I think I only saw 1 wolf, 2 deer, and about a dozen rabbits on the way there. My guess is that they do plan to. I noticed that the acorn patches were completely black so you can tell it's a work in progress.

    Falconry

Falconry. A new skill that allows you to build a relationship with the crows by feeding them a new item created by preparing fresh guts or other specific food items. Can also be researched using books. 1. Each level increases the chance crows appear over a carcass. Right now, they seem really unreliable. Each level also unlocks more food items you can use to feed them. 2. Flying crows and the number of crows in the flock now have a purpose and warn you of incoming weather changes, or maybe even an aurora. Each level unlocks the meaning of a certain formation. 3. Crows can now be called using the navigation radial by whistling or using a whistle. They can help you by showing the direction towards the closest shelter or carcass. Will only work if you have prepared fresh guts/certain food in your inventory. Each level increases the chance that a crow will respond. 4. When calling a crow there is a chance that it will bring you a small gift like arrowheads, ammo casings, hooks, cat tail stalks, feathers, fishing tackle, etc. 5. At the highest levels crows now have a chance of distracting a charging wolf. Even a few seconds can allow you to get into a house or car, or pull out a flare or weapon.
  5. What do you think about a 'physical conditioning' skill? While you walk, climb, and carry a bunch of weight, you grow stronger. Plus, maybe there can be a way to exercise so that we can use up any excess energy before going to bed. It gradually goes up slowly over time, but it can also be a skill that gets lower if you spend too much time indoors, sleep too much, or eat too much processed food too quickly. Increases carrying capacity, sprinting distance, stamina recovery, and climbing.
  6. I completely agree. Maybe it takes time and drains your meters, but moving a wolf or a deer a short distance away can be a great way to escape the wind. Maybe we can move the carcass just like any other item, but the time and calories it takes to move it depends on where you want to put it.
  7. Are you tired of waiting for the 'chance' of an aurora? In my opinion, this game needs an alarm clock that wakes us up when an aurora starts. Maybe it can be a completely new item, or maybe it can be a 3rd setting that's added to the new shortwave radio. Either way, nobody wants to sit around for 3 to 15 days just for the chance of an aurora to occur. On top of that, we need one or two more ways to get energy quickly. If I explored all day and go to sleep with low energy and the alarm wakes me up for an aurora, I need a few available sources of quick energy so that I can actually explore. Right now, the only ways to replenish energy are sleeping, coffee, acorn coffee, go energy drinks, and emergency stims. The stims and energy drinks are temporary, extremely limited, and mainly for emergencies. Acorn coffee is weak, it requires a hammer to prepare, and are also limited. Coffee is probably the best option but even those are limited and mostly used while exploring during the day. My suggestion: 1. ENERGY BARS! The description for the energy bars says that it's energy in a bar, but it's not. Right now, they only give you calories. This would also make sense that they are often found in medical supply kits. 2. Another stronger brand of coffee. A region with a coffee shop/brewery would be cool also. A place with bags of coffee beans that need to be prepared with the hammer, a grinder, or electric appliance only available in that building. Freshly ground coffee can be stronger. 3. A natural resource like the new and unreleased burdock root. 4. A recipe for a protein shake or some kind of drink/food 5. Soda or a new kind of soda
