  1. I can reconfirm this. After going back to my old Voyager playthrough I got 6 sprains in 2 days walking around the Contamination Zone with regular crampons.
  2. I think they removed it. Recently I opened up the menu and the cursor was on bear meat and I ate it by accident. Definitely no warning. Surprisingly I didn't get intestinal parasites despite the 75% chance.
  3. I was about to post this same topic and its now Feb. 2024. I'm currently playing a 250+ day Stalker run and I was using the improvised crampons this whole time. After finally reaching the summit and getting the crampons, the crampons gave me more sprains in a few days than my previous 250+ days combined. I literally switched back to the improvised crampons because they are definitely better. 100%, at least for me.
  4. My issue with this is that upon opening the inventory, it seems like the cursor is always random. It's never consistent. If I open my inventory, look around, and exit the inventory while the cursor is on a certain item/tab, the next time I open the inventory the cursor is not on the same item/tab. It's all over the place. I've only eaten raw meat by mistake a few times and this menu bug is one reason why.
  5. I am currently on a 250+ day Stalker run and for the first time ever I only found 3 or 4 prybars. Usually they are all over the place.
  6. A small suggestion because sometimes I want to leave a couple bedrolls in strategic locations so I don't have to carry them around if I don't need to. Great for leaving bearskin bedrolls in the coldest regions. Personally, I will usually carry a regular/improvised bedroll and a bearskin bedroll at the same time just so it doesn't degrade 1% every time I sleep for one hour.

Spy glass is a cool idea and drinking from the thermos from the radial menu would be great too.
  8. I finally found a few more recipes and here are my thoughts: 1. Thomson's Family Stew: The same calories as the venison stew but is way more expensive to make. The venison stew needs 3 ingredients while Thomson's stew needs 6. Out of those 6 you need 1 can of corn, 4 carrots, and 2 potatoes, and corn seems to be one of the rarest ingredients in the game. In my opinion, this needs a calorie increase or it needs to be cheaper to make. Grade: C 2. Cambridge Porridge: This honestly sounds like the cheapest/most efficient recipe in the game. You get 1250 calories and all you need to make it is 1 can of peaches, 4 rose hips, a dash of maple syrup, water, and a little bit of oats. Plus, it's fast to cook. Grade: A++ 3. Breyerhouse Pie: Gives you 2125 calories and that is massive. If you eat .5 kg of deer, rabbit, and ptarmigan meat you will get close to a 1000 calories. Cooking this pie certainly makes the most of its ingredients. Grade: A++ 4. Coastal Fish Cakes: I have found this several times but never made it because out of all the fish in the game it needs trout. In my current 250+ day stalker playthrough, I'm not sure if I ever caught a single trout. If it's only found in certain areas, then that's something I'm going to have to experiment with in the future. Grade: ??? 5. Prepper's Pie: This pie gives you 1125 calories, heals 25% of your health, and it's probably one of the cheapest recipes to make. Needs acorn grounds, 4 mushrooms, 2 burdock root, and a tiny bit of water, oil, and salt. Grade: A++
  9. Someone else suggested that the toolbelt should just be a permanent upgrade like the technical backpack, and that's not a bad idea IMO.
  10. I saw Tomasina die like that once and I never ventured off the beaten path after that. I also just saw a video where a YTuber came out of a cabin, fell through the map, and died by glitch.
  11. Making the toolbelt allow us to craft things on the go is such a better idea. Cutting the weight off of 3 tools with the toolbelt and cutting the rifle's weight in half with the holster are meh. One moose hide satchel is better than both of those items put together.
  12. I support all of these suggestions. The only thing I would add is that tinder should be fuel after it's no longer useful. Even if it adds only 1 to 2 minutes to the fire, at least we can still find some use for all that paper, cat tail heads, cardboard, etc.
  13. We are also pushing for at least one more accessory slot so what's another rare accessory? These wolves smell the smallest nibble.
  14. There is another thread about breaking acorns with more tools and I mention how I'm always missing something with these recipes. It's funny but painful. I just searched Coastal Highway and didn't find a single pot or a skillet, and usually there are several. Now I'm in Pleasant Valley with no acorns or corn. Lol. The struggle is real.
  15. I was literally about to make a new thread about making this accessory: The Lunch Box. Carries up to 2 KG of food and any food inside it has no scent and it degrades slower. You read my mind!
