  1. Well, that was one hell of a Loperton and I would say Astrid 8 did quiet well. Didn´t hit the Cannery Workshop and the bottom of the mine in CH because there was no aurora and that lookout area in HRV where you need to remove the bushes with a hatchet. Why the stats show 100 % discorvered? I dont know because obviously it is not a 100 %. Maybe its because of the aurora or maybe Raph just isn´t such of a math genius - who knows ☠️
  2. I started to get tired because of all the sprinting over the ice but had a lot of daylight left. So I decided not to sleep anymore and use the 3 stims in my pocket instead. Passed through Crumbling, entered DP and circled round the zone. Shot at the bear but missed because he made some weired glitchy moves on uneven terrain - nay 😞 What ever. Finally reached scruffy´s cave - yay 😀
  3. Back in FM there was ok weather. Went up to the Overlook and back into ML. As I reached Trapper´s a blizzard set in but I continued to move to the little hut at the Pond and slept the rest of the night. When I woke up the weathers wasn´t too bad and became lovely later on and held up all day as I made my to CH. I circled around the campingsite down to the road, Jack Rabbit´s and up the hill to the Lookout Tower. Slept below the tower in the huts. The next morning the weather was still ok. Threw some stones at the Quonset Moose and shot im in the face but he is one tough beast and refused to die - nay 😞 So I moved on to Misanthrop´s while another blizzard set in. Walking across the ice in a blizzard is pretty dangerous because you get turned around in no time but I made it to the island without any trouble - yay 😀 Made my way a second time across the ice to the exit to Crumbling and while I was warming up in the car the blizzard passed. Lost one of my firestrikers - nay 😞
  4. When I woke up the T-wolves were glitching arround for a bit and eventually wandered off which gave me a chance to get tot he Radio Tower and attach the rope for the climb down. I reached the little house at the waterfall without further problems. I warmed up there and then circled round to the Lighthouse, stimed to the workers hut and slept there. The next morning the weather was very nice and I made my way to the Delta and the cave to FM. Sneaked around the pack in the Delta, avoided the pack on the shore and slept the night in one of the trailers near the bridge. The next day I approched the Cannery. Lit up a marine flare and ran through the obstacle course to the workshop. Found enough marine flares on the way to be able to just run back to the cave to FM without any further T-wolf action. The cannery pack stoped chasing me as I reached the trailer and I avoided the pack in the Delta again.
  5. The next morning I moved back to FM in good weather. Took the route over the ice to Spence´s and from there over the ice to Poacher´s. Picked up some cattails along the way and went on to the Camp Office where I left the rope for the Ravin climb. Circled round to Dave´s and along the Lake to the bear hut. Slept there Woke up and made my way through the river to the Ravin in quiet bad weather which than got very good. Used the rope to climb to the bottom, switched the flare guns and moved on to BI. Yay fighting off those annoying glitchy noisy stupid T-wolves with just torches will be so much fun 🤮 Anyway. As I entered BI a blizzard started. I made it to the cave and just stimed to the Lookout Tower with the pack trying to catch my butt. Slept at the tower.
  6. Killed the bridge bear, went to the plane crash and slept there. Went to the Farmhouse, down to the Basin and on to FM. Slept in the Marsh Ridge Cave. Went to the Creek and on to BR in good weather. Nothing to exciting happened in BR. Got down to the Ravin just to notice that it´s not a location. But whatever. At least i got some coffee. Used the stim to climb back out made a circle through the zone ran through a blizzard again and spent the night at the maintenance yard. Didn´t pick the cattials or the stim in the shed but found two mackinaws didn´t break the crate to look for the stim
  7. Didn´t have a Prybar so I couldn´t open Orca´s. Decided to run through the town first but then after a few houses I found a Prybar in one of the cars – yay 😀 Slept at Orca´s with a little bit of food poisoning from bad beans or something. Finished popping into the houses, found my second pair of undies - yay 😀 and went to HRV with a good amount of food. Very nice weather in HRV. Had the Smoke Signal on the right. Climbed up the rope and slept in the cave near the signal. Went down to the Moose Overlook area. Slept in that cave down there. Climbed back up during another blizzard. Went through the wolf cave to the area above the river than through the Ice Cave to Monolith lake and back to the Ice Cave. Slept there. Moved through the river to Stairsteps and through the wolf cave to the cave above the exit and then back to Milton in good weather. The wolf wasn´t at home- yay 😀
  8. Very nice weather the next morning, which held up till I reached the Farmhouse. Used a stim to get from the Barn to the Farmhouse Slept there and moved on to Three Strikes when a blizzard kicked in. Went on to the Curve and as usual almost lost my way to Signal. Got slightly off to the right but found it eventually. No pants, no boots, no coffee, no tea, but some food there. Slept and left PV to ML with very nice weather. Didn´t loot the damn, only picked up what layed arround which I´m going to do with almost every building from now on as well as leaving any unnecessary loot where it is. Checked Alan´s. No bedroll. Moved on to the Lookout Tower or what it´s called. Spent the night there and went to the Lake Overlook the next morning.Found another firestriker there- yay 😀 No need to pick up matches anymore. Took the rope and left it for later at the Camp Office where a finally found the bedroll - yay 😀 Off to Milton now.
  9. Circled around AC. Found some stuff. Picked up cattails. Threw stones at the bear. Left through the Eco Ravine and slept in the Three Way Cave in a snowshelter which should be the last nap before Thomson´s if the hacksaw is at the summit. Had to leave earlier as planed because I miscalculated the fire time. Of course there was a blizzard. But found my way to the last summit rope. Climbed up to the Summit using the AC stim. Found a hacksaw there- yay 😀 Took the flare gun, the firestriker, the food and some clothing, brew the coffees, went back down to the lake and from there to Thomson´s after I killed the waterfall bear in PV Ran through the buildings at Thomson´s and did some cooking till the morning.
  10. Ok weather in AC. Went to the cave near the ropes below the mine. Had to sacrifice a pair of socks for the snowshelter I built there. Slept till my energy was back to full and of course a blizzard set in when I was about to leave. Climbed up the first rope drank the coffee and climbed the second one. barley made it up there. Had to built another snowshelter now. The blizzard blew out the first fire I made. Luckily there was wind shelter and enough space for a fire and the snowshelter behind some rocks. Had to sacrifice my hat and my second pair of socks for cloth. Only one pice of coal left, Condition low - not good. Fortunately the bilzzard passed and I could sleep for the full 10 hours in the shelter- good 😀 Climbed up to the mine. Slept there.
  11. Spawned in PV near Skeeter´s. Decided to loot Draft Dodger´s, Skeeter´s, the crashsite and Misty Falls before going to TW. Found matches and a can opener in the basement, yay 😀 and decent clothing at the crashsite. No bedroll, no hacksaw. Slept in the bunker. I woke up to the first blizzard and started off to TW. Reached Cristal Lake, found the maglens. Slept in the hut. Got to the Echo Peaks, the Forest Cave and moved on to Deer Clearing. Unfortunately I couldn´t open the containers. So off to AC with no bedroll and just one coffee that I found.
  12. As we all know Astrid is not just a survival expert but an athlete as well. So she decided- before the earthquakes might open up a path to new regions- to go for an ultra marathon on the Great Bear Island. The Loperton. The goal is just to participate in the first place and if you can to get to all the Locations on GB as fast as possible with as few kilometers travelled as possible. This is Astrid number 8. Astrid 1 to 7 failed and died. 5 and 7 were the best so far. Lets see how Astrid 8 will perform. Coal, torches and teas are always carried and used
  13. fight boredom found 6 batteries and 2 revoler rounds (that got destroyed during crafting) on that run. got close to 5 ☠️
  14. Quonset Front door, behind the gas pumps, is safe from predators and the moose. you can lure them to you with a fresh gut or something and shoot them comfortably right in front of you. If you move back and forth they run off ☠️
  15. I love travelling in a blizzard or fog Storm at Night. You have to be focused to navigate through succesfully. Plus its a great feeling when you eventually reached your destination and an Even better one if you have to sit down in a semi sheltered spot and wait it out on your last piece of Coal. anyways, starving is Not neccesary. There are enough cattails and cans in the world for the first100 days. And well fed and a good full condition bar let you travel longer in the cold. the most Important thing i can advice is dont be afraid of dying even if you are on day 499. Dying is every lopers life. Do what has to be done when it has to be done. Push as far as possible to the limit and beyond. Astrid and Will can take a whole lot more than one would think. ☠️
  16. What do you think is the Minimum time to Explorer 100% of the Locations without Mapping? before ac was Released i was able to make it in 39 days without the Locations you Need the aurora to Access. but i wasted about 2 days with crafting a hatchet For That one Spot in hrv where you have to Remove the Scrub Bushes and a Bow and a handfull of arrows For Those stupid t wolves . Also i got Turned around in a blizzard at Night on my way From the Long Curve to Signal hill. Got Too far to the left and Ended up on the Rocks Above the Bears Cave. Had have Had to wait there the Whole Night before i Knew where i was. i think including ac and without crafting and mistakes you can still make ist in Less than 40 days. difficulty was loper but Would be interresting to try it on lower difficulties. never Tried on deadman Since im just Hunting For the Stims. But less than 100 days should be doable
