It's not so much the in game risk (I got out of my 'epic'  mine escapade only about 15% down on health and having lost my well fed bonus) so much as the real time drain as you can't skip time, even when cooking.

    I’m not sure I follow.

I thought you said earlier that you can’t start a fire. How do you cook then ?

Also, why can’t you just pass time as usual (space bar, select bed roll, and then pass time) ? Is this due to cabin fever ?

I’ve never had cabin fever, only risk of it. While at risk, you can pass time as usual

so yeah, worth a quick 'in and out' loot run if you can time it well.

Well, I'm all prepped, got the elevator full of supplies (just in case), and now I have been waiting 14 days for an aurora. I'm bored.

Also, just shows that you absolutely shouldn't take the risk of getting stuck in the mine. You can't fight off cabin fever for 14 days, unless you bring crazy loads of prepared coffee with you.

    hell yeah!

I think as you can't start fires in this mine (as it is 'inside') but can in others,

Found nothing that would relate to the cannery problem btw.

I have already planned to bring plenty of food and water, just in case. Since I expected that Cabin Fever would apply, my plan is to rush through the mine during the aurora, and be out before it ends. Bring the supplies just in case.

I’m very surprised you can’t star fires - it was possible in Ep. 3. Could be a bug.

At any rate, I’m not even sure the whole thing is worth it.

Did you find any valuable loot ?

Why post in a thread just to say people ideas are useless? it's kinda rude.

Sorry, that’s my opinion. It’s subjective, sure, but these “enhancements” would be useless to me and my gameplay.

Forums are places where people voice their opinions.

  5. If I had the choice, I’d prefer Hinterland to work on meaningful game advancements (new regions, animals, resources), rather than useless “immersion” mechanics (microwave working during aurora).

Actually bearskin cloak, bedroll, wolfskin coat, and moosehide cloak all require a knife or hatchet.  Deerskin boots/pants, rabbitskin hat/mittens, moose satchel, and improvised head/hand wraps though, yeah you can craft them 20% faster with fishing tackle vs. sewing kit.

Oh, yes, thank you for the clarification / correction.

Sure? I played quite a lot when only Mystery Lake and Coastal Highway existed, and to my recollection ML never featured cars, so CH was the first region with cars (and consequently, visors). I never found anything under the car visors. The same when more regions were added (I think the order was PV, TWM, FM): nothing.

Doesn’t the rail “car” in front of the Carter Hydro Damm have a visor ?

Was this car a late addition ?

I also would like to know if that's possible.

In case the revolver has been added to Interloper:  what if I allready had a game running before the patch? It will appear in my current game somewhere?

I started a customer loper game before BI was released.
Lo and behold, I found a revolver, but I never found a single round to go with it.

  9. I'm on a custom interloper game, and found some odd bear behavior.

In two separate occasions, I shot a bear (once with rifle, once with revolver), and got a positive hit. Blood splatter in the snow, and bear running off wincing. Both times, the bear did not bleed out to death, and was alive and kicking still two days later.

What is happening ? I thought every hit will eventually be fatal. Has something changed ?

Just made a 3 days wood fire and temp decreased indeed.

    I’m not sure I follow.
what do you mean by “3 days wood fire” ?

i thought you can only add wood until the fire burning time reaches 12 hours. Only below 12 hours you can add more fuel.
Are you saying that after feeding the fire repeatedly over the course of 3 days, the temperature kept dropping steadily ?

I have never seen that behavior.
