    Didn't get the Midnight badge but I think I know why: I had 2 save files, one save in ML camp office and the other in the cave.... I know I ran down the Day 3 clock in the ML cave, but I think I did not run out the clock on the camp office save. So... apparently that does matter (though I didn't think it was supposed to matter?) In any case, I'm once again running down the Day 4 clock, in an overheated cave, bored.

    agree 100% . Hey Hinterland!------ maybe do one in the springtime... finding chocolate eggs and bunnies....... (and beware the Killer Rabbits, or else.....)

    I avoided this zone specifically because I got lost in a blizzard there once, during the day. No way I was going there willingly this time!

    I'm listening to it from my oven-like cozy home, in the near-dark... I guess, like someone said on this forum, 4DoN is an advertising event to bring in new blood. I think it will work well, it's been mostly fun! One the clock runs out I'm going to try to get to the lake cabins.... but surely I'll die lol.

    With nothing really left to do, I'm just cooking all my tea and coffee. I didn't have to keep a fire going this whole time. On the contrary, it's been a waste of wood. Coulda just sat around in the dark, writing novels in my head. or something. I guess.

    I deliberately avoided the forums until I knew whether or not my house was aflame.

    Too much time on my very warm hands. #organizedhomeisahappyhome I am however down to one last jerrycan full of oil. Long game, I would have been more frugal about it, would have fished when I could.

    I ended up running left from the camp office toward the track where there were cedar limbs. after 90 minutes of hack-sawing, warmed by my lantern, I was an amber-flagged hypothermia risk.

    This is me in "decent, not great" gear standing next to 10-hour fire in upper camp office.... I think we worried too much. (I don't remember drinking green tea but I guess I did haha)

    I think it's completely random depending on your starting location and "loot roll" if it can be called that. But as a branch-off of this save, I'm situated in the ML cave by the cabins, and will see if there is pie for me there. I think I can make the walk, just down the hill before the first cabin.

    No pies in my camp office. Maybe it's because I had pots set down on all cooking surfaces..... I wonder if my in-the-cave save is walkable to the lake cabins... maybe there's pie there.

    One word: Nesting. End-game, I'm just organizing my loot. It's relaxing. I also like it as inspiration for writing, which is why I bought the game in the first place.
