Craftable Cloth

I feel like you should be able to craft cloth, maybe from cured pelts. It would make the game a lot more sustainable and make clothes you found in the world a viable long-term option. It would also make for unlimited bandages, which would be helpful for long runs.

There is a VERY significant difference between cloth and animal pelts. Cloth is made from weaving fibers together, while pelts are just animal skins.

And, while you could technically weave fishing line into a cloth-like object ...... why? I can't think of a greater waste of time.

It's to make the game more sustainable. Eventually, cloth for bandages and clothes will be exhausted and you die. This is to make infinite survival more feasible.

I think currently there must be more cloth available in game than almost any other item... more than enough for thousands of days I bet.

I would have thought having different types of harvested clothing would have made sense but then do we want the game bogged down with lots of mechanics.

What I mean by that is wool garments and down sleeping bags retain their warmth rating, reminds me of Triggers broom (ship of Theseus paradox - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ship_of_Theseus), if my woolly jumper has been repaired 3 times from 50% durability is it still a woolly jumper?

Neat idea but as has been pointed out you'll likely run out of everything else before cloth (and bandages). If you're at that point, are you even interested in still playing?
