Give Me Light!!!

I'm new to the game (steam)...I've been playing for only a couple of days now and right from the start, I've had this issue which no one else seems to have encountered. I can't light/strike matches(77%), ignite flares, light the lantern! The Left Mouse Button Icon Prompt appears...I click...And nothing! I can start fires, but any illumination action cannot be performed. I'm guessing this is a BUG? Thanks in advance for your input.

Don't know if this helps, but there is a delay built in so you don't accidentally light things. Have to hold the left mouse button down while a circle in the center of the screen fills in. When it finishes, your match is lit.

Don't feel bad -- I did the same thing with the storm lantern -- took a minute or so before I figured it out :lol:

I was also unintentionally extinguishing or throwing my torches & flares the first three days.
