Liverbubble
When you boil water it dose not tell you how long it will take, you boil too much and your fire goes out...
Bill Tarling
You get to learn approximately how much time different amounts take. Usually the best way when first starting to play the game is to try melting and then boiling the smallest amount - saving large amounts for when you know you have a lot of time on the fire. It's also best to avoid melting/boiling huge batches because during that time your hunger, thirst, and fatigue are still being affected. After a few sessions you'll find what size batches work best for you... Some people like just stoking the fire for large all at once melt/boil sessions - myself I'm more comfortable with a bunch of really short/small batches. The game kinda lets you adjust to what feels best for your own personal preferences and playstyle (within reason)
octavian
Welcome to the forums Yes, until better design happens, remember 2 liters take an hour, melt and boil, with a couple of minutes remaining.
