Food related illnesses

I know you can get food poisoning (although hasn't happened to me yet), but are there any other illnesses the food can cause? Every time I come across a half-eaten deer carcass, my first thought is "rabies". With wolves prowling around, the threat is immediate, but can they cause this indirect threat as well?

I know the safest way in this regard is to kill a deer myself, but I haven't had a chance to try a rifle yet, so I've had to resort to being a scavenger.

We've talked about rabies, yes.

The afflictions system is pretty extensible so we can add a lot of stuff provided we can offer logical remedies.

Didn't think of that. It wouldn't be fun in the story mode to get a disease that will kill you for sure, but it wouldn't be a problem in the sandbox, just really, really bad luck.
