Willy Pete
I think it would be cool if there was a small chance, something like 10-15% to recover bullets from carcasses if you harvest everything from it.
Bearimpaler101
Think that's a great idea but bullets not casings/cartridges.
UTC-10
I would think that the devs may have considered that and decided that it was more likely the bullet used would be deformed and have to be recast. Then that the yield of newly cast bullets would not be equal to the number of deformed bullets melted and... they didn't want to have to deal with working all that out as well as the ramifications of using even a slightly deformed bullet in terms of effectiveness (it would be almost certainly be the case they would not have the rifle blow up due to a bad bullet, too much trouble). But if they went to the trouble, I'd have no objections to it.
AdamvR
I’ve also been thinking of it, as I do recall memories of finding pieces of lead when eating game in my childhood (not very healthy… tbh.) it would definitely need to be recast, and you’d need a few schrapnels to cast one bullet again (2-3?) it could add one more item to collect and carry to BI…
Kranium
Lead bullets always deform. At the very least, you'd need to re-cast.
hozz1235
Not to mention, there are so many batteries (lead) in the game, I don't think you could ever run out.
