Knife loses condition without being used

Is it intended that when you put your character to sleep, this will cause the condition of a knife to deteriorate?

I had sharpened my knife to 100%, and the next morning it was only 98%.

The first few times I thought I was wrong, but now I am absolutely sure.

Are you sure that is what happened? You didn't eat a can of food without having a can opener in the inventory? Because unfortunately that automatically uses the knife. It used to be you could select the tool for that, but they changed that for some inexplicable reason.

Happens to me all the time. I have perfectly sharp knife at evening. Morning it is dull and my sheets are covered in blood.
