New wounded deer AI?

I've hit two deer in my current new Stalker game with the rifle. There's a blood trail, but they don't seem to loop around any more. One of them was shot over a day ago in-game and my journal does not show an increase in deer kills. At first I thought a wolf might have stole my kill, but there is no sign of a carcass. The second one is recent enough that it might still be wounded, but it has disappeared. Both shot near the bear cave by Trapper's.

I also had the same problem, a deer hit with an arrow (win bow experience points  at the time of the shot). But the traces disappeared very quickly, and I never found it, nor my arrow. I searched for 3 days (of play) in the area. I thought of a bug following the patches (I play on PS4). I see that I am not alone with this problem.

FWIW, I have found arrows that I'd lost a hundred days earlier while wandering about. Yes, they had disappeared over the hill in a deer or something and I hadn't found them until much much later.
