It is difficult to help without more information. Was TLD game previously working properly on your PC? Does your PC meet the minimum game requirements? Are the video drivers updated? Is your version of 'DirectX' updated? Which OS are you using? We would all be happy to help. Please provide us a bit more detail. MINIMUM: OS: Windows XP Processor: Dual-Core Intel i5 CPU @ 2GHz+ Memory: 4 GB RAM Graphics: Intel 4xxx Series w/ 512MB VRAM or better Storage: 7 GB available space Sound Card: Any on-board chip will work. The 'Steam Version' of 'The Long Dark' is very stable, please do not worry my friend. Edited December 13, 2018 by s7mar7in

It's time to grab a copy of this file for the Hinterland Team. Log Location in Windows In Windows, open File Explorer At the top of the window, switch to the View tab Go to the Show/Hide section and check the Hidden Items box On the left side, scroll down to This PC and click on the C drive Navigate to the following folder: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Hinterland\TheLongDark (Your Windows username will be the name of the USERNAME folder) Inside TheLongDark folder you will find a file named output_log.txt . This is your session log. Edited December 13, 2018 by s7mar7in

So we can better investigate this issue, could you share your Session Log file with us? You should be able to add it as an attachment to your next post. How to Find your Log in Windows: In Windows, open File Explorer At the top of the window, switch to the View tab Go to the Show/Hide section and check the Hidden Items box On the left side, scroll down to This PC and click on the C drive Navigate to the following folder: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Hinterland\TheLongDark (Your Windows username will be the name of the USERNAME folder) Inside TheLongDark folder you will find a file named output_log.txt .
