Pleasant Valley Hunter Bunker

So, what are the odds that you find a Hunter Bunker on either map, Pleasant Valley or Mystery Lake?  I don't know either, but I think the odds of getting both Hunter Bunker's in the same game must be astronomical.  Never the less, after having discovered the bunker at ML, I have been looking all over PV to find the random spawning bunker, only to find another Hunter's Bunker, practically a duplicate but with a little less loot.

View of the valley from the ridgeline, you can see the rope that leads down to the road by farmhouse.  to the left of this location is the radio tower.

coming down the ladder there's a grate in the ducting.   checking the ducting reveals an old newspaper.

Nothing but an empty shelf by the ladder... good for scrap at the least if you have equipment that needs repair.  Other than that....

Looking into the bunker from the hatch, nothing exciting at first glance.  

Panning from right to left, you encounter another shelf,  this one had a lantern, a stim pack, a couple of arrow shafts and one complete arrow.

The locker had an old hoodie in it.

Next to the locker, another metal shelf, this one knocked over somehow, utterly useless as a shelf but worth it's weight in scrap metal.  Nice rifle propped up by the bed.  Sure would like to be able to lean my rifle against a wall in my base...  

Nice little +5 cot with a another shelf displaying a couple of energy bars, peaches and dog food.  Couple of water bottles in case you get thirsty.

In the corner sits another metal shelf holding a couple of soda's, two more water bottles, a whet stone (that will come in handy), another can opener and 10 rounds of ammo.

as you continue your gaze, there's a crate with a couple of old newspapers on top.  You'll also find a pack of matches and another hunting knife you can always use.

Last but not least is this big desk.  All the drawers were empty save one and it only had a single can of grape soda in it.  Besides a couple more newspapers, there was another rifle, a cleaning kit, an additional 5 rounds and of course a basic tool kit.

So there you have it.  Overall just about 15 kilos of gear, not enough to really weigh you down, slow you down some maybe, but worth looting most of the stuff for sure.  As for rifles, with these two, that makes 5 so far on the PV map that I've found.  

Takes a lot of walking each map to find a bunker but they do spawn in every game.  Looking forward to seeing your bunker pics!  Happy Hunting!

Actually on any non-Interloper game, there are always bunkers in both Mystery Lake and Pleasant Valley!  There are several bunker hotspots you can check on those respective maps, but one is guaranteed to spawn somewhere on both.  So throw in the Abandoned Prepper Cache which is static, there are 3 total bunkers on all non-Interloper games.

I've only found one hunting /weapons bunker, ever.  Amazing luck!

My favorite bunker is the one at Pensive Pond in PV.   It's a very nice spot to live -- sort of Mountaineer's Hut Jr, with a wolf-free walk up the river to the farmhouse for crafting.   At least it was nice before cooking fish became so inconvenient; hopefully that will get corrected in future.

Yeah, I am fully aware of that.  But in this particular sandbox, I didnt just find a bunker in both locations, but I found two Hunter's Bunkers, one in each location.  What are the odds of that?

I have found a bunker in the location you describe in a previous played sandbox.  Turns out it was a clothing bunker.  As I recall, it had so many articles of clothing in triplicate, but with such degraded conditions that I had to scrap the majority of items in order to repair the select few that truly were worth repairing.  The fishing shack there on Pensive Pond has a closing door so I can see why you like using it as base camp.  In regards to cooking fish, I just start multiple fires, one right next to each other on either side of the shack, lets me cook all the fish nearly simultaneously, about  8 minutes difference cooking time between fires as it takes that long to get each one started.

Ohhh gotcha, both were hunters caches.  Well...I know that was probably rhetorical, but the odds of that happening are are 1 in 81, or 1.2%.
