Aurora / Potable Water

Just a little idea , when the aurora happens the power comes on etc. What if in some cases the water system works in some indoor places. Toilets refill and water taps work to a say a maximum of 20 Liters potable water.

The freezing temperatures would probably thwart that.  For houses that rely on well-water, having the pump freeze in the winter is a concern.  Milton, on the other hand, had a water tower, so any water would gravity-feed into the houses.  As long as it has water in the tank, you don't need electricity.  You're just opening a valve.

In the end, I'll bet the pipes have all frozen and burst long ago.
