Ice Hole
Clothes are wet or maybe need extra warmth bonus; cook your clothing. Seriously though it speeds wet clothes drying time and could risk damage if not monitored. No time would be displayed but visual cues along with sounds and maybe the character reporting certain odours emanating.
Silverhour
Well leaving wet clothes near a fire already speeds their drying time, but adding in a risk of scorching them would be just dirty! Your screenshot made me think, 'What if we were able to add a spit over the fire and roast rabbit/fish/steaks that way, as an additional crafted cooking slot. Then maybe we can drape our wet clothes over it too.' Just have to be careful how hot/high the flames get.
Soul Sojourner
I've wanted to cook clothing so many times, thinking it could be faster to place it in a cooking spot next to the fire than just wearing it next to the fire. Hahaha
Wintermut
Any warmth bonus should be short lived....like an hour or so, but I like the idea of getting briefly extra warmed up by a fire....so you don't literally start freezing the second you open the door....
