I think the OP is asking whether or not the "Canada Goose" brand expedition parkas were the model for the in-game ones..

who knows  but yes I guess the devs would need some reference points to design their clothing models from, it could be from multi similar designs with tweaks. Ask the question in Miltons Mailbag thread maybe.

That certainly looks like the model for the original one! The new ones look more like modern seafaring survival suits.
