FunkyFuggerson
So im new to the forums and i've been looking around and seen mentions of something called a snowball story, or "snowballs" Could somebody inform me on what they are? And if so, could you link to an article with a snowball story?
Klobberthon
They are survival stories by @Drifter Man. I believe the first series are stories surviving (and dying) on Interloper difficulty on Timberwolf Mountain only. The new series is here:
Drifter Man
Thanks @Klobberthon, and here is the original (TWM) series, called Snowballs in Hell - The idea was around spawning in TWM on Interloper and surviving there. I called my survivors Snowballs in Hell because their condition melted away quickly. I gave them numbers, Snowball 47 eventually found the way to survive reached "escape velocity" and went on for 130 days. In the thread people shared their survival tips and hacks, which, I think, makes it good source of TLD knowledge. I'm having trouble sticking to the format in the Hushed River Valley continuation of the project, but I hope it can still be interesting.
Jolan
And if you ever want a good look at item and food decay rates, check out the 1000 days in the Dam series - the last couple of pages are most relevant to current build
