It seems ,folks, that that railway will be what stiches us to the mystery lake region. perhpas in the full release there will be a feature similar to the entering a building loading screen, where you go onto the train tunnel and you pass into the next part of the map (it looks that way)

We'll just have to wait and see. I doubt this will be the biggest map Hinterland has prepared for us. It's just the next bigger map to see how we can deal with it. And if the biggest map is only double the size of the current map, and half the map is not consisting of water, then you'll have a tough time finding your way around.

Here's me hoping the next map (or next big update) is completely devoid of shelter and two cans of dog food is the best you can find on the whole map. You need to build your own shelter, containers and possibly tools and chase/hunt all your food. But seeing as the map development probably goes hand in hand with the story development, this will probably not happen anytime soon - but that would be perfect for sandbox.
