Microsoft has said that the Xbox One S will be compatible with all Xbox One games. (As long as you mean this console: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one-s)

Unfortunately, I still don't understand what you mean by "added to." Is there some list of games somewhere that you are referring to? Thanks.

If by added you mean will it work on the S, then yes it will, the Xbone and the S are the same machine, just different sizes.

There are some games that work on both the Xbox one and the Xbox one s but some games don't work with the Xbox one s for some weird reason 

but the long dark being on the new Xbox is all I need to know

I'm sorry, but where are you getting your info? According to Microsoft, if it plays on the Xbox One it plays on the One S, that includes backward compatible 360 titles, and download titles like TLD.
