Missing bear after shot

Just updated to 3.27 this morning and started up my game on coastal highway.  I went to the island across from the gas station to hunt the bear.  I shot him with two arrows, slept overnight and searched for him the next day.  He is completely gone, and vanished.  I looked for 4 hours in a gigantic circle and unless he ran out of the map idk what happened.

I have had bears vanish too.  I'm not sure why, but I suspect a bug with going indoors before you loot him.  I don't know though.  Has happened a couple of times.

I have just been attacked by a Wolf after stabbing it and watching it die. It was nearly dark so I returned next morning & no corpse. I then chased a Deer into a Wolf then rested for an hour & the Deer corpse had disappeared. This is also at coastal highway.

I can confirm this, I shot and killed fluffy at the hydro dam after he attacked me, I came back the next day and he was gone, the blood from the attack was still there.
