  1. I tried this the other day and it was so good, thank you!
  2. In a previous post of mine I expressed my desire to make some comforting recipes with condensed milk and I think actual milk could also be a good addition, here is why: Firstly it should come in cartons because milk packaged that way lasts for long even in warm temperatures therefore it should have normal if not slow decaying rate. Milk should be somewhat rare, a bit rarer than cooking oil I think, because it serves both as a food item and an ingredient. If drank as it is milk would hydrate the survivor and give a good amount of calories. It could be heated to give warmth bonus and be stored in the thermos. These qualities would make milk a very valuable item specially if saved for long trips since it's basically a litre of water with calories. All of this is secondary though, as my main reason for wanting milk in the game is for the mashed potatoes and mashed carrots recipe. Currently potatoes and carrots feel underwhelming and I have seen posts of people asking for more uses for these items and I think this would be a good solution. Of course the recipe would require previously cooked potatoes or carrots and salt, as well as prep time (the mashing itself). Finally, if milk were to be added, it should be needed to make pancakes.
  3. I support the idea for a complete overhaul of how hide recipes work. Although I do like how each hide recipe feels unique in a way, I would like to have more options without losing that unique factor they have. It would be a good opportunity to bring it as a free update along with the cougar and the wildlife spawn refresh.
  4. I would love a pizza recipe, even more so if we could play around with varieties. It would be nice to have canned bell peppers to go along with the canned ham. And cheese...
  5. Personally I have never even seen maple syrup let alone tried it, but in Argentina we have dulce de leche and I tend to go with that for pancakes.
  6. Condensed milk is one of the coolest food items in the game and it would be great to make recipes with it. Add a quarter of condensed milk to a cup of coffee to make it just that little bit more comforting and calorie dense. Could also work with acorn coffee. Add chocolate to the game (which has been suggested before). Chocolate could come in the form of tablets which can be eaten as they are or you can use half a tablet in combination with a quarter of condensed milk to make hot chocolate. Let’s be honest hot chocolate is the ultimate winter drink and it’s outrageous that it isn’t in the game already. Of course these two recipes can be put in the thermos and are more calorie efficient than drinking the condensed milk as is.
  7. I remember that being exhausted for too long made you pass out instead of just draining your health until you die. I wish that came back along with being able to sleep anywhere. It’d be nice to have a negative affliction for sleeping on the ground, it could cause reduced carrying capacity and stamina. A positive affliction for sleeping in a real bed for 72 hours would be cool too.
  8. Probably not but I would say it is the most underwhelming resource.
  9. Is it? In my experience with the recipes, they decayed so fast that they didn't seem worthy to take into long trips.
  10. Yes it makes sense that it's common and I know I can leave it where it is, I just wish it had more uses since it just falls flat compared to cooking oil and flour. Maybe it could serve as medicine as well as an ingredient, it could stop blood loss, prevent infections and cure burns. I don't know, salt just feels like the most underwhelming item in the game right now and I wish they made it better somehow.
  11. Subtitles in Survival mode are really bad though, some phrases will show incomplete or changed subtitles, and sometimes they won't even appear.
  12. Prepper's, stalker's and dockworker's pie all require salt I think, as well as the fishcakes.
  13. The description says it all: "A seasoning and preservative" Yet we can only use it in a small number of late game recipes and only one basic one. Furthermore salt is so common that even on Interloper you will be having a kilo of it by day 10 and no way to use it. Either make salt recipes use more salt, make it rarer or preferably, give us the ability to preserve meat. The mechanic could be balanced by making you thirstier and giving you less calories than regular cooked meat.
  14. Maybe I just got really unlucky with loot, but bannock carried my current Interloper run up until day 10. Until I got to PV flour was all I had.
  15. I agree with everything, I think bannock is fine though. It's a basic recipe, a last resort. It's useful to help you keep going for just a bit when you don't have anything else.
