  1. Thank you for making TLD even better. I absolutely love any additions which make the experience more challenging. Scurvy is awesome! I've been reading the thread and would like to say a few words. I haven't visited any of the new regions added in TFTFT (although I'm planning to), and yet I have really enjoyed the new content. My point is, nothing is forcing me to travel to the new regions (except curiousity), so I can't possibly complain about them. Knowing that those regions are out there is like an added bonus! I think everybody has a favorite region, somewhere they feel right at home. We use most of the other regions in order to find useful stuff or as means of travel. We can't love all the regions, we might even hate some of them (yes Mountain Town I'm talking about youšŸ™ƒ). I understand some players' concerns though, as they're worried that the new stuff might change their favorite region's environment. Speaking of favorite regions, how awesome is Ash Canyon? I mean seriously, I just wanna live there FOREVER. Thanks againšŸ’™
  2. It becomes frustrating in the long run, I agree. I found a workaround though... Options > Sound > Voice > 0.
  3. Yes I have noticed that. I stayed for a few days in Mountaineer's Hut and the bear never showed up in Crystal Lake like it used to. Although the bear in Ash Canyon (Miner's Folly) is still following the same path...
  4. I suppose it happens with anything in life... you eventually get bored and move on to do new things. I usually get bored of offline games after a few hours of playing (maximum of 10 hours), The Long Dark, on the other hand, is a different story to me... I've played this game more than 2000 hours in the last 2 years, followed by Horizon FW which i've played for around 200 hours. Survival is my favorite genre and from the moment I discovered TLD, i've been playing it... sure sometimes I get bored, but after just a few days, my survival instincts kick in and make me wanna play again! I suppose purpose is what players seek in any kind of game, and once that purpose no longer exists, you tend to get bored... Nothing in life has ever hooked me like TLD has... it simply is a perfect and extraordinary game which never fails to amaze me whether I'm at day 1 of my run, or day 100. I still keep finding new purposes in the game... There are still a lot of regions i have decided to not visit yet. I guess I wanted to keep some of the mystery alive. I'm really looking forward to Safe House customization and cougar, which I believe are excellent late-game objectives.

    Minor adjustments

Well thanks, I try... it's just not my native language. I think your idea is better... coloring feathers... at least I can finally find a use for those spray cansā˜ŗļø
  6. I've been playing TLD for a long time and I believe the following adjustments could improve the overall game experience. I also have some unrealistic opinions which I don't see ever being implemented. - Realistic - 1. Failed attempts to start fires should contribute to Fire Starting skill (at least half xp). After all, humans learn from their mistakes. ==> Could also be applied to Mending. 2. Raw meat should be prioritized while cooking, instead of canned food, etc... (since raw meat attracts wildlife and shouldn't be held for too long). 3. Arrows with a piece of colored cloth attached to them. It really is frustrating looking for shot arrows in the snow. Arrows could have an 'Actions' menu which could make us able to attach a piece of colored cloth to them (cost: 1 cloth?). It would make them much easier to find in the snow. 4. Dynamic indoor temperature. The outdoor temperature must influence indoors, resulting in a more challenging late-game (at least on Interloper - I don't remember the last time I started a fire indoors). 5. Faster container searching. - Unrealistic - 1. Gunsmithing on Interloper. Three of the skills are completely useless... Make it possible to find/craft Revolver/Rifle. Could be extremely hard, could be almost impossible, but would be yet another purpose to keep roaming GBI. 2. Functioning train during aurora. This one is a long shot, but who knows... Walking around the GBI is inevitable and kinda the whole point of the game, I understand... but with the new TFTFT regions, the great bear island is too big now and at least 1 train connecting two regions could be kinda cool. It would also make aurora more interesting. 3. A harder difficulty than Interloper >> or >> Interloper made harder. I tried to read as many posts as possible before creating this topic, I apologize if some of the items have already been suggeated by other members. Also sorry for any hiccups in my English. Thanks for reading.
  7. Great list. Except for auto-walk... I tend to help with navigation while auto-walk is on (going left or right, so forward would be inevitable).
  8. Hello. I only play TLD on intetloper, I always have. The one problem I've always had is being lost in locations I don't know very well... And there usually isn't enough time to scout the area and unless you know where you're going, you're probably gonna die. I kinda felt like climbing trees might be a good addition to the game... I'm not sure about specifics though... It could be like rope climbing and deplete considerable stamina, but there could be other benefits to climbing trees, like surveying a larger area while mapping with charcoal... Not to mention the ability to spot wild life or even escape them. It was just a thought. Thanks for making this extraordinary game.
  9. Safe house customization next, please... Thanks.
  10. Hello everyone. I meant to buy Survival Edition + TFTFT today, but apparently the main game isn't split yet... Could anyone please tell me when I can download Survival Edition? I live in Greece and I have the option to download TFTFT. I was also hoping for a PS5 version... is that not going to happen? Thanks.
