  1. I wouldn't say they look any less clean than the deer and occasional wolf carcasses we can find ripped open.
  2. While I don't have screenshots, I can describe it well. I'm playing on PS4 Pro, and I was exiting the Hydro Dam. I was about to open the gate when I heard a wolf howl, so I moved left along the fence to see where he was. I was standing in the gap between the fence and the stack of pipes that runs parallel, and watched the wolf trot (not run) towards me. I was about three or four feet away from the fence, and the wolf simply walked right through the fence, starting a struggle. After fighting it off with a few knife stabs, it again ran *through* the fence. Also the results of the scuffle were quite odd. Three cases of bleeding, but only one infection risk, and I lost nearly 60% of my health even though this was only Voyager (wanna get that Faithful Cartographer trophy finally.) and oddly my clothing barely had any damage. I know that there's a chance that being right next to a fence/fishing hut wall can let animals clip through enough to chew on you, but this was a full wolf walking *entirely through* the fence like it wasn't there at all.
  3. I know that shotgun shells for a flare gun sounds cool, and those Orion flare guns are technically 12 gauge, but they're also only injection mould plastic. Firing shotgun shells in one is a good way to get hurt or killed.
  4. And here I was, on the opposite end of the spectrum. Why can't I "harvest" the bodies especially in dire situations like Interloper? Likely with a debuff after eating, like a high rate of parasites or an increased likelihood of Cabin Fever? Probably as a survival mode only mechanic as there's no in universe reason for Will or Astrid to do such.
  5. Honestly, these ideas are pretty great! A couple of them remind me of the Mutations from the Left4Dead games. Little edits to the game mechanics that offer and interesting "alternate universe" experience to the game, many of which would be especially good for content creators making self-imposed challenges of their own.
  6. The "hit" boxes for stunned rabbits are definitely bugged, at least on PS4 at the moment. It's frustrating hitting those little buggers with enough stones to turn their brains to paste and being nearly unable to grab them. Sometimes the prompt to grab them is above the head, other times below the hind feet, and sometimes on the body proper.
  7. I think a shotgun as a way to hunt smaller game would be nice. Even something like a .410 with options for slugs, and birdshot (to hunt crows!) to keep it from being a total death machine. Though I'd like to see ammo spawns reduced in general. Even on Stalker and Custom "Interloper with Guns" it's not hard to have a decent stockpile of ammunition. Having less ammo available overall would be a good way to make Bleak Inlet more useful. (Even though I despise timberwolves.) Additionally I feel like once we reach a high enough Gunsmithing level, we should be able to find raw saltpeter (what we use the stump remover for) and sulphur occasionally in caves. This way, the only thing that would be non-renewable would be bullet casings and lead, making ammo reloading more attractive, while still having an element that must be monitored closely due to being finite.
  8. This is the sort of thread I need. I'm not one to complain in threads, I've gotten used to just bearing it. I've been wanting to enjoy this game for a long, long time. Never had a very good PC, but I bought the game on day 1 for PS4. It would run terribly and constantly crash. And I stuck around because watching people on PC play the game for a long time had hooked me, I wasn't giving up. I waited for the patches and played through the first two episodes and played survival. Lived and died many times on Great Bear. The controls were always a bit janky, but TLD has always been a "slow" game. Even dealing with wolves was not too hard unless you were dumb enough to walk into a group of them. Then the Redux versions of the first two episodes came out, and I played them too. Still loved it. But episode three. Those *goddamn* timberwolves. I can't fight them at all. I know this isn't an issue on PC, but on PS4 (and I assume XB1?) the aiming sensitivity is terrible. I know that we have the turn speed slider, but the problem is the "lag." When I move the stick, it takes a moment to reach the actual speed, whether I push lightly or max it out. Worse is the fact that letting go, the movement doesn't stop, it "decelerates." I can spin in a circle, let go of the stick, and still turn a good 10-30 degrees. Because of this, I cannot fight timberwolves in the slightest. For over a year now my enjoyment of TLD has been limited to watching other players on youtube because I've lost the drive to play. I want to finish episode three and I tried to play again today. The timberwolf encounters are still insufferable. The "sloppiness" of the aiming mechanics was bearable before, because with smart playing one can bait wolves away or avoid groups. But having a pack of wolves running circles around you at point blank is just not fun with the current controls. If this game wants fast paced shooter encounters, it needs fast paced shooter mechanics. The "lag" or "acceleration" or whatever one might want to call it must go, or be able to be disabled. Additionally, there needs to be options to change both normal and aimed turn sensitivity, not just a blanket change. Currently setting sensitivity high for regular view makes the aimed sensitivity far too touchy. And before someone invariably tells me to "git gud," I've been playing console shooters since 2006. I may not be an expert, but I know what I'm doing, and I can comfortably hold a positive K/D ratio in competitive shooters.
