That's a really stupid idea.😀 That would be exceedingly hard even in real life. Deer is a wild animal, not a horse..

C'mon dude. I agree it's not a great idea, but ease up a bit huh? There's more constructive ways to convey this sentiment.

  2. Yikes. I've never understood when people get that aggro about a game. It's a game. I LOVE TLD, and sure, I'm super eager and ready for that update to drop, but it's not something I feel upset over. I have other hobbies, and games I can spend my time doing while I wait. With the custom mode it's hard for the game to get stale.

Hinterland, Ya'll are golden, and I'll be here to enjoy the update, regardless of how long it takes ❤️

So after I built one on the upper steps, I wondered if I could actually build one on the wreckage of the bottom stairs, so I went out and collected enough stones while dodging wolves and bad weather!  When I finally got back to the cannery, after numerous attempts and furious clicking, I was able to finally build another rock cairn on the extreme tip of the broken stairs.

WOW! That's clever! I'll have to try that sometime. I haven't found the climbing/over encumbered bit of this area that big of an issue, but I HATE the parkour course. It makes my hands sweaty. So any way around that is awesome in my book.

That is probably one of the best tips anyone has made yet!  You might wanna post this gem this nugget of wisdom on the "did you know?" thread.

    Brilliant!!!

I can't take credit for this gem unfortunately. I saw this a year or so ago on here from another user. I tried to find that thread but couldn't. It is a great hack though!

  5. I've also heard you can build a rock cache on the broken cannery stairs, and then you can walk under it and load all your heavy goodies, then go climb the rope and retrieve your stuff from the cache after you've parkoured over there.

I don’t think it will, since we will be playing as Mackenzie meaning we will be either starting in the Carter Dam, or maybe even Blackrock?

What makes you sure it'll be Mackinzie? I Assumed it'd be Astrid, since we got 2 episodes of Mackenzie.

  7. I've heard if you make a BUNCH of snare traps that you can theoretically get enough rabbits to indefinitely sustain yourself. I'd personally, if you're going LONG term, go with the Camp office. It has more container storage AND shelf storage. Also you'll be curing mad amounts of pelts I'm sure, so ample floor space for your curing furs. They you have easy access to ice fishing AND rabbits over the the glen below the overlook.

  8. Not discounting what you're saying, but even on my current interloper game, I haven't noticed any real changes to tracking. You do have to really keep on them, and it's easy to lose them, especially if the weather turns. But there are still blood trails right after the shot, and crows over the corpse. The better the shot, the shorter a distance they'll run. maybe @Stinky socksis on to something, and you're shots are just not getting their health down as far as you remember, and that's givng them more time to roam?

  9. Dude, this has been an amazing tale!  First off, I'm super flattered for the shout out. Secondly, I'd be lying if I was sorry that I put this idea into your head. This seems so brutal! I'm still just getting the hang of vanilla Loper (record is only 48 days, current run is going strong at 37 right now)

Just know I've been reading these with the enjoyment of a novel and I cannot wait to see more. You, sir, are the bomb.
