  1. Hello. Long time since last time:) I cant get enough of this game. But I have this itching, I love this game and everything about it. But I feel there should be more stuff todo in survival mode, like more stuff to craft, bigger fishes, some super rare items to find/craft. :) I have purchased TLD music collection to support the developers.

  2. Hi!

Let me just say that i have got alot from this game, maybe about 60 hours or so, so i am not complaining. I still love this game. But i find everything so easy now that i have "breaked the survival code" in this game. I find it easy to survive in the hardest game mode and even the costume challenge. I wish there was a extreme survival challenge where there are almost nothing to find, a extreme hardcore evil impossible challenge or something. I Will still play this game anyway🙂

  3. So its still 21 October in Norway, approx 22:40. Soon it will be 22 October in a few hours. When will Ep 3 be released in "norwegian" time? Tomorrow morning or?

  4. I'm not for or against jumping. But I belive this will never be added to the game. But if its going to get added, then a jump with only a small nod jump.

    Yavind,

Your estimate of an income of 20 CAD per game with total income of '660 000 00  CAD millions' seems unrealistically high.  (Although I'm not sure how much you mean by "660 000 00 CAD millions " .)

I bought my TLD through Steam when it was offer, and paid something like £5.95.  From that Steam will have taken their cut, so Hinterland could not have received much.

I regard my £5.95 as extremely good value for the considerable number of hours enjoyment I have had from the game, so I wouldn't begrudge Hinterland make a good profit from it.

    I think I meant 66 millions. :D

  6. I see what you mean. The image looks fuzzy. Disable the 4K, will not work anyway. Then put all graphic settings on default in-game. Then everything else in default in nvidia-controll-panel for TLD. Then you could try for a tribble-buffering in the nvidia controll panel( I see in my panel that I have trippel buffering turnen OFF), or you could try vertical sync. Try that. But ill bet it wont work, but its worth a try.

  7. I was attacked by a bear twice in a row at the end of the whiteout challenge. I had to kill the bear to collect all the required food. Had minimal HP, and I had to use antiseptics, bandages and painkillers and stimulant stick(first time I was attacked -> I loosed my rifle, but I luckly had the revolver. Pew pew with the gun before the bear attacked me the second time) .. then run to a cabin near me in the area to sleep away the damage and to get more HP( I was just a hair straw away from dying) .. ran back to the bear and then it was dead with all my gear .. had to pick up everything, and make a bonfire with the bear before I slaughtered it into meat/food .. then I had to run several rounds back and forth to carry all the food ... to finally melt all the snow into water that I needed, inside the gas station.  Three attempts at the challenge then I did ! :D My heart was pumping!

3.3 millions units * approx 20 cad (median including sales) = 660 000 00 CAD millions ? Not so much tough if you take into account that they need to maintain this game and pay workers + rent + taxes + internett + hardware.

The sales shows us that this is a good quality game that gets a good reputation.

    @Yavind,
It's not that I am against change...  I just feel that folks should keep in mind that this is Hinterland's game, it's the experience they want to craft, and the story they want to tell.

Personally, I think it's better to accept and embrace the game for what it is... and to look forward to seeing what the Hinterland team has in store for us in the future.

Yes. I'm for that too :)

Fair enough... we all have our points of view, and our feelings on what we think that game should be.
We also need to keep in mind that this is Hinterland's game, it's the experience they want to craft, and the story they want to tell.

Yeah... I replied to that one already too, where I address what you are referring to as silliness.
So, apart from your opinion about how the wolves should behave in this game... I still don't see anything that needs to be fixed.

Yes I saw it now, thanks for the answer.

I see that you don't want that much change in the game when people come up with suggestions. I respect that, but I wonder one thing. Are there any changes / improvements you would have had in the game? If you like everything as of right now, good for you - the more power to you :)

    Thank you :)

...and in real life, wolves will avoid humans at mostly every opportunity (and we do have a game mode where the wildlife is skittish... Pilgrim).

However, this is a game... and from the lore we already know the "reason why" the animals in the game behave the way they do (i.e. the "geomagnetic event" that gives rise to the auroras in the game).  This is the reason given for their uncharacteristically aggressive behavior and elevated territorial ferocity.  Considering this is a fictional setting, it seems rather presumptuous for anyone other than the Hinterland team to speak with any authority as to what the wildlife would or wouldn't do in their fictional setting.  What you are calling "silliness"... is in actuality a design choice.

However, let me defer to the source on this:
    Raph from Mailbag Dispatch #40:

Its a fair answer from you @ManicManiac. I would like to see some adujstments to the wolfs tough, and I was not thinking of realism, but I would like to see some small adjustments, I think it will be better - but its is not a game breaker for me. But I think it can be better :D

    Outerloper - created by Stone

Interloper mode. Not allowed to go inside of any structure (no load screen). Transition caves are ok but only to pass through, no sleeping. No TWM Hut/PV Porch/MT Office/DP Church or Riken (self-imposed), Spence's is ok.

[...] But you can sleep outside? If so, then a big fat yes from me :)

    Thanks.

Challenge-mode. It adds meaning for everything :)
