Hello All,

I've seen some posters with a "Steam Early Access" forum badge. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get your own or if badges were only for Kickstarter backers.

Applying to the early access group for the steam badge:

Applying for groups is not monitored as all new forum users are assigned just the normal registered user status.

The "Steam Early Access" badge was only for those who bought the game on Steam before the official Early Access launch date.

As with the Kickstarter backers, the different badge was just acknowledgement and appreciation for the confidence and support shown when they purchased the game even before there was an actual game available to play.

With the earliest Kickstarter backers, there was a period where they had their own private discussion section [since they received early play copies before the Steam Early Access release], but once EA was open to the public, those sections became available to all the users.

There is no difference between the normal access levels, the badges simply represent stages or original pre-release backing levels for the game

Ah. I thought the badges were for everyone who was playing on Early access.

Pity. I like the badge designs
