PC - Saving the game

So, I played The Long Dark several of times now and I'm a bit perturbed. Every time I stop playing, it says that I may lose everything if I don't save and quit playing. Well... how do I save? I read on the forum that entering a building will save the game? Yet, when I quit out, I don't see a load game option? What's the deal? I was doing really friggin' well, loads of food, clothing all fixed up, just needed to find a weapon... getting tired of spending time for nothing.

Other than that, great game. Just wish the food/drink/exhaustion was a bit more realistic.

It's simple: the game saves when you enter a building (that has a loading screen, like the Camp Office, if it doesn't have a loading screen like for instance a lookout tower it doesn't save) and when you sleep.

Next time you start TLD you should have the option to continue your previous game. I can post some screenshots if you'd like.

Exactly that, just click on SANDBOX and CONTINUE/FORTSETZEN or LOAD/LADEN if you have started more then one game.

Start TLD, choose "SANDBOX" from the main menu and you get the following screen:

Click "RESUME" to continue the last save or click "LOAD" to choose what game to load (if you have multiple saves).

The game also saves *after* an accident such as a struggle with a wolf or a bear, or spraining an ankle.
