What is the reason for the restriction when trying to add a coal to a fire? My fire is hot enough and minutes decrease not quicker when the fire becomes more hot.

In real life, it takes about 20 minutes for lump coal added to a fire to begin burning.

Game has chosen to simulate this by not allowing coal to be added to a fire that has not been burning for at least 20 minutes. A fair simulation.

Otherwise they would have to track how long the coal has been in the fire and only add it's potential to the fire once it had been in for 20 minutes. Much harder and near impossible to explain to players without instructions...
