HyperMoon
Exploration is a big part of this game and getting lost is a serious threat to your survival. Navigation can be especially difficult if you are in a blizzard or fog. Alot of times I get completely lost while trying to return to my safehouse for the night. So I thought it would be neat if you could leave some sort of markers, or flags in the snow that stand out for navigating. You can also treat it as a stash spot. I had something like this in mind It doesn't seem like a flag would be very hard to implement into the game. It could just be an item that you leave on the game world. Also, devs people put in cheez doodles
cowboymrh
I use reclaimed wood. When exploring caves and mines especially. Just drop a piece of wood at the tunnel you came out of, then drop another at the tunnel you enter. If the tunnel is a dead end, you move the wood to the entrance of the other tunnel. This way, you always have a trail through tunnels and caves from both ends.I'll also put two reclaimed wood pieces on a road pointing a direction to a cave or tunnel so I can find how to get back to them from the valley floor.Works for me. One on the home screen outside trappers cabin . Still leaving a trail is good enough for now, i suppose.
piddy3825
if you chop wood or break down cardboard regularly, you end up with a lot of tinder plugs. I leave groups of tinder plugs to mark my path. rose hips are also nice to leave a trail with as they are the only red thing and they really stand out when group in pairs.
