Bow + ducking

When I duck to stalk my prey then press the number 2 on my keyboard (for equipping weapon) I will get the response something along the lines "You don't have a weapon." Even if I go into my inventory to pull it out, it doesn't work.

I have to stand back up and do it. Cost me a deer. Haha.

Also, is there a way to regain the little dot on the screen when the bow is out? Thing is really hard to aim.

You cannot equip the bow while ducking. Crouch until your prey is in a range you're comfortable with, unduck and fire the bow. It's tricky but you can get used to it.

Is it ducking or prone? Cuz it "feels" like prone...
