SteveP
I just wanted to add a quick note of thank you for some excellent work: the swaying of trees is something one is always amazed by in the deep woods and it can be terrifying to hear trees crashing down or moaning in the wind. I think this is a little noticed upgrade that really adds to the atmosphere and ambiance of the game! Please add trees crashing to the ground or grinding and moaning as trees rub against each other in the wind! Wonderful! You could add a new hazard: being hit by falling trees or branches. EternityTide
I wish the tree swaying was a little more apparent though, as even when a full blizzard rolls in, and the windspeed ramps up from 3 kph to 50 kph, the frequency and intensity of their movements changes little.Something like this:

The game trees (cedar, fir) have thicker trunks and hard wood, so they don't really bend as much as you see in the picture. They are more likely to get blown down, and you can see some blown down trees in game.
EternityTide
I pulled up the first picture I could find, but I've been in pine forests in high wind, even the thick trunks sway significantly. Cedar and fir are both softwoods and flex considerably when under strain.

SteveP
Here's a long video documentary about the power of super storms. Not too related but fascinating to see the power of nature.
EternityTide
The first video outlines it nicely, and that's in weaker wind than a blizzard would be hitting it with. The movements of the trees is relatively constant in the game.
