Modding updates?

There are a few mods around and a big one coming soon I think, but they are made by developers working on their own with their own findings and risking to have their mods breaking at the next TLD update. I would appreciate if the TLD team could provide an update to what they are planning in terms of modding for the community for example in the next dev log. It would be awesome to get some official guidance/API/tool etc. so more people can develop mods at some point in time.

I hope for good mod support too. There is a lot of good in the sandbox, it just needs some community love for it to be enjoyable for me.
