I stumbled across the inspiration for the iconic Insulated Boots

So, i was watching a video of a guy in Canada who camped outside during -36c weather (video here), when i noticed that his boots looked familiar..

I went to work looking for the boot model, and would you look at that, those are the "Sorel Pac Boots" which look exactly like the insulated boots we have in game.

So yeah that's about it. Just wanted to share this neat fun fact i stumbled across today, that's the model the devs probably used to create the insulated boots
