Acorns?

Has a bug been introduced with part 3? Playing custom....

They show up in my crafting menu - description says "Acorn grounds" and requires the heavy hammer, can be done anywhere but I'm told I haven't got the requirements as I have "0/4 cooked acorns". I've 15 uncooked acorns in my inventory, so it appears I have to cook them before grinding them? Only I can't cook them either.....

Apologies, I didn't bother with the acorns when Part 2 was released - I've plenty of real coffee so had no need for ersatz stuff. Now there's more exciting recipes, thought I'd give them a go.....

You should be able to cook them, you just need a bit of water and either a can or pot. Pan might work as well. After cooking, you can eat them like cattails or grind for weak coffee or recipes.

@Shadox - I have water, a pot, a skillet, a fire going and acorns - can't do anything.

I have acorns and a heavy hammer - can't grind them. 🤨

If I remember correctly, you have to first prepare them (use your crafting menu), then cook them (using your cooking menu), then grind them (using your hammer in the crafting menu) and cook them again to have a light version of coffee.

I had the same issue, there was no option to prepare the acorns.

I then found out that in the crafting menu you have these filters on the bottom left and the "prepare acorns" option only appears when clicking on the "hand" icon.

They should move both of the 'prepare acorns' options to the top of the list right underneath 'acorn grounds'. The blueprints that require a workbench should be more toward the bottom.
