Play and Update

My wife has fallen in love with this game and I get it thru my Xbox Gold subscription, however....there seems to be no way to update or anything like add the new downloads or stuff. My question is...Is there a difference in the game that comes with the subscription and the game you purchase? I would gladly purchase for her if that is what is required for her to update or add things to it. Any help is appreciated.

There is nothing to "add" to the game. There are no DLCs or anything yet. Just the regular patches

Did it update straight after it was installed? The last big update had Ash canyon added so if you have that area then its already fully up to date. The next update is due out possibly next month for story mode, so my advice is wait until that comes out and see what happens then. If you haven't got ash canyon then you need to talk to the tech support! Hope that helps.

You can check News and Updates section here. There is latest update topic. For now it is 1.93, build 76129. I am pretty sure these numbers are visible on the start screen. At least in the PC version.
