odium
~160 days into a Voyageur run I've found myself in PV, setting up 3 bases, the community hall, the barn and the farmhouse. I had not seen a Moose yet at all after looting DP, CH, ML and MT prior to PV. 4 bears so far this run but none in PV yet, but I knew one spawned near the barn so I went to look, and sure enough there he is. I pick him off with the rifle and get to harvesting/cooking. Being PV of course a storm rolls in and I must retreat. Go back the next day to find a pack of 4 wolves surrounding my bounty. I'm pretty stocked on hides at this point so I decide to go toe to toe with them. I lead them close to the barn one by one and knock down all 4 with my bow, although the last arrow broke and I did get some torn clothes. Looking for the last wolf there he is, a moose right on the edge of the birch trees. I put two rifle rounds into him and he goes down! I burn two fires all night and harvest/cook all the meat. Took me the entire next day to haul it all back but definitely the most eventful couple days I have ever had! I also saw a 5 pack of deer too that I had to resist taking a few from!! (the bear carcass is missing from the pictures but you can see the aftermath!) Edited December 25, 2019 by odium 2
wizard03
Yeah, the moose is defiantly finicky on spawn points and actually being there when you are there...seems to be a weather relevant animal. Good conditions always seem to improve the spawn RNG of the moose.
