Enough to keep you alive for a day, day and a half.

I find that after day 4-5, if you haven't been able to benefit from killing deer, you start really hurting for food.

(If you get really hungry, I find if you go to the parts of the world where you see wolves and deer frequently crossing paths, you can sometimes come across a fresh kill...can really save your bacon...)
