Mapping Coastal Highway and Milton

Having cleared up a problem area in TWM, I have another couple of areas which I have not mapped.  One in Coastal Highway and another in Mountain Town.  When I have skirted around those areas I have mapped around the area and assumed that the problem areas could not be mapped.  Perhaps someone has mapped them and I need to go back there for some serious goating around.

In CH my problem area is that between the train loading point and the coal mine.

In the Mountain Town region the problem area is the obvious black patch above.

Has anyone mapped these problem areas?

Check out this video.  It shows how to access the area.

The MT objective is under quarantine.  After the REDUX update there were numerous areas that had invisible walls installed.  Goating in that area was difficult and might not be possible any more.

Thanks Ice Hole,

I am working on it.  I have left PV for Coastal Highway.  After leaving the coal mine I walked around to that little hut and could not find any route to start up between the two.  I had wanted to find my own way up those hills but it is increasingly looking like my route will be very close to that in the video you posted.

I shall not bother with the Milton region black patch.  It looks like clearing the CH patch will tie in nicely with my completing 1,000 game days, a good point to end that run.

I managed to get up that high patch, see the view and map most of the area.229369784_screen_(-842161222)_35b1f2fc-7d69-43e3-b8ab-4cef6f9bc2ac.thumb.png.2d19490c9a823898824427479a8c90ed.png

There is still a bit black to the right of the train logging camp.  When I tried to map that I fell through the map.

I see that I have a minor black patch over by the Abandoned Lookout, I'll now map that.  I have now completed 976 game days with this game, so after that last patch I'll have a few days down at the coast relaxing then call it a day when I get to 1,000 days.

Thanks for your help Ice Hole.

Ice Hole,

I found an easier start to the climb up those mountains above that little hut in CH.  I had previous started across exactly the same rocky traverse as your video shows but I had not made the climb straight up from that.  After making the climb up I looked around for an easier start. It wasn't too difficult to find.  I went up another couple of times to try and clear black bits.

After mapping minor black patches on the map I found that I had a black area in DP.  My FM map has a few very small black bits, but they are so small nothing is hidden beneath them. I don't know if I can be bothered to clear all of those.

I probably still have a few small unmapped areas around the edges of the maps.  It is often difficult to decide if the black at the edge of a map is the actual edge of the map or an unmapped area.  I probably have a few unmapped bits where the map ends in the sea.  In one place where I was out on the ice trying to see where the map ends I fell through the ice.
