I think I've found Great Bear in the real world

For those that don't want to go check out the link, here's a pic of the southern end of Banks Island: 

You can see the bay of the Coastal highway in the south, and Desolation Point (sort of) to its east. Obviously, not a one to one match, but it's certainly the closest match in BC that I can find. Banks Island is about 70km long and 18km across. It would be very very cool to have the whole island mapped out....
