Riven
Hello Hinterland. In my wintermute playthrough i was attacked three times by a silent wolf, he didn't bark or growl like other wolwes do. He just came out of nowhere and started chopping me right away. Is this a bug or is it intentional? Anyway this is an amazing experience, maybe you could give him white skin and call him Alpha wolf or something? It was so scary and it happend so fast i swear i was spinnin my head 360 the whole time after that.
KinoUnko
it can happen if the you and wolf stumble upon each other without line of sight. Predator investigate scent detection, but aggro and track by sight. Happened to me quite a few times. Same can happen with bears.
ingrobny
Same have happen too me, two times by the trailers near the Hydro Dam and today i just stood eye to eye with a bear near the trailer above the gas station in Coastal Highway, tried to run and hide, but i could hear him coming closer and close, it scared the s*** out of me and he thrashed me real good, luckily my precious head gear (two wool ear wrap and two wool toque) survived and so did i , but he almost put a stop in my 200 days of survival . If you are getting too close, you won't hear them, because they are ready to attack. Edit. But after the attack i killed him and he will give me food for a week or so but he almost put a end to me and that would be really sad
dead frozen dude
Yeah, one of first impressions of playing Story Mode for me was how wolves seemed much more silent there. To think about it, probably their aggro radius was set a lot smaller than in the Sandbox so they don't have that much leeway to bark, what they mainly do when closing in for a pounce...
