TROY
I remember seeing this in the fall of 13 when the kickstarter was going. I wasn't able to contribute then, but I drooled and waited... http://m.ign.com/articles/2013/09/16/kickstarter-mutant-league-football-the-long-dark-hyper-light-drifter and then, next summer, this hit steam. The original ea trailer... and it sent chills down my spine. What a ride it's been! http://m.ign.com/articles/2014/08/22/the-long-dark-is-coming-to-steam-early-access-september-
Fuarian
It's an open world where you're meant to discover how humanity would react to an absence of technology, communicative means, electricity, and other comforts -- and there's something very literary about that, like an essay or thesis in playable form. Any game that focuses on people, humanity, and reality is far more interesting than the mindless, me-too, blood-drenched similarities of most modern action games. I have a feeling this is what we will be getting going into Episode 3 and beyond. We've gotten the whole survival thing out of the way. Now it's time to see how the world is changing. And I've been thinking about recreating that original trailer with the modern version of the game :)
