Offline play

Sorry if this is a silly question?

(I have used search but only found a offline leader board thread)

But I am soon to travel quite a bit for work and really want a new game / world for while I am away.. The Long Dark looks like its going to fit the bill :-)

However can I run the game without an internet connection?

Yes, you can. Never did it myself, but I've seen other people post here that they played offline, so it's possible. The game should even upload your progress to the leaderboards when you have internet connection again.

I can confirm that, I usually open TLD directly via the tld.exe file, so this is no problem whatsoever. That's why I have so few hours on TLD on steam.
